Ceiling Fan Replacement in Oklahoma City
Professional ceiling fan assembly and installation at qualifying locations with existing, compatible electrical wiring and a properly supported fan-rated ceiling box — standard residential ceilings up to 10 feet. New wiring, electrical repairs, and other work requiring a licensed electrician are not provided.
Mobile On-Site Service — We Come to You
Redhawk Handyman Services comes to your home, apartment, rental property, office, or commercial space for professional assembly and installation services across the Oklahoma City metro. Items must be onsite before your appointment — you buy it, we build it, and you chill.
Service Scope
Redhawk Handyman Services replaces customer-provided ceiling fans and light fixtures at compatible existing locations with ceilings no higher than 10 feet. The standard service does not include running new wiring, adding or relocating switches or outlets, modifying circuits, installing new electrical locations, or troubleshooting electrical problems.
Fixture weight, mounting support, existing wiring condition, electrical-box condition, ceiling height, access, and product compatibility must be reviewed before pricing or feasibility is confirmed. Projects requiring electrical modifications should be handled by a qualified electrician.
Existing Ceiling Fan Replacement
Redhawk Handyman Services replaces customer-provided ceiling fans at existing compatible ceiling-fan locations throughout the Oklahoma City metro area — including Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon, and Mustang. The replacement uses your home's existing wiring and the existing mounting location.
You supply the new ceiling fan — we remove the old one, assemble the fan and install the replacement at the same compatible location according to the manufacturer's instructions, attach blades and accessories, and verify basic function. This is a replacement service, not a new installation: the location must already have an existing fan or a properly supported fan-rated box with compatible wiring in place.
Common Replacement Fan Types
Flush-Mount & Low-Profile (Hugger) Fans
Ideal for standard-height ceilings where a downrod is not needed.
Standard Downrod Fans
Traditional ceiling fans with a downrod extension at compatible existing locations.
Fans with Integrated Light Kits
Replacement fans that include a built-in light, connected to existing wiring.
Fans with Manufacturer-Provided Remote Controls
Remote setup limited to the manufacturer-provided system — no new switch wiring or smart-home wiring.
Bedroom, Living-Room & Home-Office Fans
Standard residential replacement fans for common rooms with existing fan locations.
Remote language refers only to assembling and setting up the manufacturer-provided remote system. Redhawk does not imply new switch wiring, smart-home wiring, or electrical modifications.
Multiple Fan Replacements
Customers can request quotes for multiple accessible ceiling fan replacements within the same property — for example, replacing builder-grade fans in several bedrooms or updating fans across an entire move-in or Airbnb setup. Pricing and feasibility are subject to individual project review based on ceiling height, access, and the condition of each existing location.
Residential Focus
Redhawk does not actively target commercial ceiling-fan replacement. A small-business request may still be submitted for individual review when the ceiling is no higher than 10 feet, the fixture is ordinary and accessible, the location uses compatible existing wiring, and no electrical modifications are required.
Ceiling-Height Limit
Maximum service height: 10-foot ceilings.
Redhawk's standard ladder-based ceiling fan replacement service is limited to ceilings no higher than 10 feet. Projects above the 10-foot ceiling limit are not accepted through automatic pricing. High-ceiling, two-story, vaulted-ceiling, stairwell, scaffolding, and lift-assisted installations are not offered.
Existing-Wiring Requirement
The replacement must use an existing compatible fan location. Existing wiring and the existing electrical box must appear suitable. The following are not included:
- Redhawk does not run new wiring
- Redhawk does not add switches
- Redhawk does not add outlets
- Redhawk does not modify circuits
- Redhawk does not replace breaker panels
- Redhawk does not troubleshoot electrical failures
- Redhawk does not create a new fan location where none currently exists
- Redhawk does not install or upgrade electrical boxes as an electrical service
All work remains within applicable Oklahoma and local licensing requirements. Where electrical modifications or other licensed work are required, a properly licensed electrician must perform that work — existing wiring alone does not automatically make a project suitable for handyman service.
Older Homes & Fixtures
Older homes and older fixtures may have conditions that are not suitable for a straightforward replacement:
Older homes and older fixtures may contain wiring, grounding, electrical boxes, or prior modifications that are not suitable for a straightforward replacement. Redhawk may pause or decline the installation and recommend a qualified electrician if questionable electrical conditions are discovered.
Safety & Electrician Referral
If the current fan or fixture shows electrical problems — or if questionable wiring or mounting conditions are discovered — Redhawk may require evaluation and correction by a qualified electrician before replacement work can proceed.
Conditions that may require an electrician:
- Flickering or buzzing
- Unusual heat or burning odor
- Tripped breakers
- Visible wire damage or brittle insulation
- Scorching or discoloration
- Loose electrical boxes or unsupported mounting locations
- Missing or questionable grounding
- Aluminum wiring
- Signs of previous nonstandard wiring or arcing
- A current fixture that does not operate normally
Redhawk does not diagnose, repair, or modify electrical conditions. If any of these issues are present, the project will be paused and a qualified electrician will be recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you replace ceiling fans using the existing wiring?
Yes. Redhawk replaces many customer-provided ceiling fans at compatible existing fan locations using the current wiring and mounting location. New wiring, new electrical locations, circuit changes, and electrical troubleshooting are not included.
What is the maximum ceiling height?
Redhawk's standard ladder-based ceiling fan replacement service is limited to ceilings no higher than 10 feet.
Do you install ceiling fans in commercial buildings?
Redhawk primarily targets residential replacement projects. A standard fan in a small-business setting may be reviewed individually when the ceiling is no higher than 10 feet and no wiring or electrical modifications are required.
Can you replace a fan in an older home?
Possibly. Older homes may contain wiring, grounding, electrical boxes, or previous modifications that are not suitable for a straightforward replacement. Photos and project details are reviewed first, and an electrician may be required if questionable conditions are discovered.
Do you repair ceiling fans that buzz, flicker, or stop working?
Redhawk's service focuses on replacing customer-provided fans at compatible existing locations. Buzzing, flickering, breaker problems, unusual heat, burning odors, or damaged wiring may require evaluation by a qualified electrician.
What should I send for a ceiling-fan quote?
Send the ceiling height, approximate property age, a photo of the current fan and ceiling area, a link to the replacement fan, whether the current fan works normally, and any electrical warning signs you have noticed.
