After Your Appointment Is Scheduled

  • Confirm the service address and arrival window.
  • Notify Redhawk if the product, quantity, access, or requested work changes.
  • Keep the product onsite at the agreed location.
  • Retain order information and manufacturer support details.
  • Report delivery delays before the appointment.
  • Confirm required property permission.
  • Adding major unquoted items on appointment day is not guaranteed — time may not be automatically available.

Prepare the Product

  • Verify that every shipment carton has arrived.
  • Compare carton numbers with the retailer’s shipment information where available.
  • Check boxes for punctures, crushing, water damage, or opened packaging.
  • Photograph visible shipping damage before moving or opening the carton.
  • Keep all hardware, manuals, labels, packaging, and loose parts together.
  • Do not discard packaging until assembly is complete and the item has been checked.
  • If opening boxes, keep parts organized by carton.
  • Tell Redhawk about missing hardware or known damage before the appointment.
  • If another person started assembly, leave all removed hardware and parts with the item.
  • Do not continue assembling a product after discovering a damaged structural component.

Some products are best left packaged until the appointment \u2014 you do not need to open every box in advance. For more on what Redhawk assembles, see our furniture assembly service page.

Prepare the Work Area

  • Select the final assembly room when possible.
  • Clear enough floor space for the product footprint, parts, tools, and safe movement.
  • Remove fragile décor and unnecessary clutter.
  • Protect valuables.
  • Ensure reasonable lighting.
  • Provide access to an electrical outlet when the product requires power for setup or testing.
  • Confirm ceiling height and clearance for tall fitness equipment, bunk beds, racks, or storage.
  • Consider door, drawer, cable-arm, treadmill-deck, or equipment movement clearance.
  • Keep children, pets, and unrelated foot traffic away from the active workspace.

For tall or heavy fitness equipment, verify ceiling height and clearance before delivery \u2014 see our home gym setup page for common considerations. Please do not attempt to lift or relocate unusually heavy boxes by yourself.

Redhawk is not responsible for moving an entire furnished room unless that is separately quoted.
